Summary
Law No. 161 of 1998 is the principal Egyptian legislation for the protection of domestic industry from unfair international trade practices, such as dumping, direct subsidisation, or sudden surges in imports. The Law aims to protect the national economy from the harm caused by such practices, in accordance with Egypt's obligations under the World Trade Organization.
