Prime Minister Decree No. 1770 of 1971 Incorporating the General Organization for Export and Import Control

Presidential Decree No. 1770 of 1971 was issued incorporating the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) as a service and regulatory body affiliated with the Ministry of Trade and Industry. GOEIC aims to inspect exported and imported goods using the latest scientific equipment, in order to ensure quality, protect consumers, and preserve the reputation of the Egyptian products globally, in addition to the other competencies set out in the relevant foreign trade laws, including the maintenance of the Importers Register.
