Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, conducted an inspection visit to the Investor Services Center (ISC) at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), to follow up on workflow, assess the level of services provided to investors, and ensure efficiency and the timely completion of transactions, in the presence of GAFI’s senior officials.
During the visit, the Minister listened to the views and feedback of a number of investors regarding the quality and efficiency of services, affirming that improving the investor experience within government entities represents a top priority at this stage, in line with the state’s direction to enhance the competitiveness of the business environment and attract more domestic and foreign investments.
The Minister explained that the Ministry will work on developing service delivery mechanisms within GAFI to ensure the simplification of procedures, acceleration of workflow, and advancement of digital transformation, as well as facilitating company incorporations and licensing processes, in accordance with international best practices, reflecting the state’s commitment to supporting the private sector as a key partner in economic development.
He noted that the Investor Services Center brings together all entities concerned with the investment ecosystem, enabling the provision of company incorporation services, operating licenses, and legal and technical services through a one-stop-shop system, allowing investors to obtain all approvals and permits in a single location, while enhancing coordination and integration among relevant entities.
The Minister directed that all proposals submitted by investors be addressed with full seriousness and prompt responsiveness, stressing the importance of thoroughly studying these proposals and taking the necessary actions to improve service efficiency and achieve the highest levels of client satisfaction.
He further affirmed that the coming period will witness intensified field follow-up across the Ministry’s sectors and affiliated entities, to institutionalize a culture of performance based on efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness, in support of the state’s objectives of increasing investment rates and creating sustainable job opportunities.
