MIFT Minister Participates in the Inauguration of Talabat Egypt’s Largest Quick Commerce Distribution Center in MENA Region

Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade:

  • This category of investment reinforces Egypt's role as a leading regional hub for modern commerce and advanced logistics services.

Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT Minister), participated in the inauguration of Talabat Egypt’s largest quick commerce distribution center in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in the presence of a number of ministers and senior officials.

The Center is located within Yanmu East logistics park on the Cairo–Suez Road, spanning a surface area of 27,000 square meters with an operational capacity of approximately one million items per day. It currently serves 12 cities, with a planned expansion to 17 cities in the coming period — further enhancing the efficiency of distribution operations and supply chains.

On his part, MIFT Minister affirmed that the project reflects the Egyptian market's readiness to absorb major digital economy investments, and embodies the successful harnessing of technology and artificial intelligence in advancing the logistics ecosystem. It further supports the State's drive toward empowering the private sector and enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.

Dr. Farid also noted that this category of investment reinforces Egypt's role as a leading regional hub for modern commerce and advanced logistics services, while simultaneously supporting local producers and raising market efficiency.

He also emphasized that technology and artificial intelligence have become critical factors in boosting operational efficiency and supply chain performance, and in supporting the expansion of Egypt's e-commerce sector.
