The Foreign Trade Training Center (FTTC) was established pursuant to Ministerial Decree No. 74 of 2001 issued by the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, in cooperation with the Government of Japan, represented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
The FTTC operates under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, with H.E. the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FTTC. The Center aims to enhance the competitiveness of Egypt’s foreign trade by offering specialized training programs designed to qualify exporters and entrepreneurs, improve their performance, and develop their skills to effectively engage with target markets in light of evolving international dynamics.
The FTTC plays an active role in supporting the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to create a new generation of qualified exporters capable of competing in global markets and addressing the emerging challenges of international trade, with the ultimate objective of developing Egyptian exports.
The key pillars of the FTTC’s strategy include the following:
- The Center seeks to enhance the effectiveness of its educational and training activities in order to fulfill its mission in line with the Ministry’s strategy.
- The Center promotes an export culture through specialized training programs. These programs aim to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required in the fields of export and foreign trade, in accordance with the latest training, qualification, and capacity-building methodologies.
- The Center works to establish international partnerships and concludes cooperation protocols with specialized training institutions.
- The Center seeks to strengthen its institutional capacity in accordance with recognized quality standards.
- The Center promotes sustainable practices, expands community participation, and enhances its role in serving society and supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals.
